Empathic Skills for Everyone

It is a person's empathic skills that govern their speech, body language and actions whenever they are in a role of offering emotional support to another. Further, empathic skills are founded on a capacity to feel what is happening for the other person while at the same time, staying present and not being overly affected by the experience.

This course, designed for anyone looking for greater harmony in their interactions with others, provides an engaging and empowering experience.

Attending this course, you can expect:

  • A mixture of discussion-based and experiential exercises that will strengthen your understanding of the relationship between fundamental human needs and emotion.
  • To learn mindfulness techniques that support self-awareness in communication with others and give a sense of groundedness in tense situations.
  • To develop greater self-compassion and compassion for other people especially in emotionally challenging situations.
  • To feel greater confidence in your personal resources to support others, particularly to find ways to meet their emotional needs.
